It Ends With Us is a romance novel that will leave readers raw and exposed. Hoover has a great ability to remain impartial while exploring sensitive topics of domestic violence and emotional abuse, which is admirable given her own difficult background. This book is a damaged love story that explores the tussle in the love stakes between Ryle and Atlas, as well as a story of power, choice, depth, personal strength and emotional sway.
Lily is a sympathetic lead that readers can easily relate to, making this a universal feel novel. But what really sets It Ends With Us apart is Hoover’s ability to challenge readers to look at the worst-case scenarios in life, and to use them as motivation to do better.
All things considered, It Ends With Us is a powerful novel that deserves all the praise it has received. This book is an honest and inspiring read that will leave you feeling both heartbroken and hopeful. It’s a must-read that will challenge readers to think differently and to look at the world from a different perspective.
